After the WebLION team at Penn State (in State College, PA) doing a great job of hosting a summer North American symposium for the past few years, it is University of Wisconsin at Oshkosh taking over the reigns.

UW Oshkosh is obviously located in Oshkosh, Wisconsin and is actually pretty convenient to reach through a number of major airports.  The event and accommodations are taking place at some great, new facilities, and the staff have already been really helpful and accommodating.  I have a feeling this is going to be the best symposium ever.

There is something for everyone here.  Whether you use Plone as a content manager, are a web developer who is interested in leveraging the power of open source and Plone, in particular, for your next projects, you're a designer who need to help your client or organization do more than launch the next 'static website', but rather have world-class CMS to manage it on, or you're the manager/directory who is evaluating which CMS tool might be the right one to run your organization's website or intranet on, there is something for everyone.

The event starts with 3 days of training, then 2 days of talks/presentations, and then a few days of 'development sprints', if you can stick around.

To find out more, to register, or to submit your own presentation proposal, go to the symposium website.
